Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern the charter coordination services provided by Africa Jet Link.

Last updated: October 2026

Broker, not airline

Flights are operated by licensed carriers under their conditions.

Clear quotations

Prices and validity are stated before you commit.

Written agreement

Bookings are binding only once a charter agreement is signed.

Safety comes first

The pilot-in-command has the final word on every flight.

Our Role

Africa Jet Link is a charter broker and mission coordinator. We are not an air carrier: we do not own or operate aircraft, and all flights are performed by licensed aircraft operators whose own conditions of carriage apply to the flight. Our role is to source suitable aircraft, verify operators, secure permits and clearances, and coordinate every element of your mission.

Quotations, Bookings and Payment

Quotations are prepared for a specific mission, aircraft and date, and remain valid only for the period stated on the quotation. A booking becomes binding only when confirmed in a charter agreement between you and the operator, which sets out the applicable price, payment schedule and conditions. We will always make these terms clear to you before you commit.

Changes and Cancellations

Changes and cancellations after booking are governed by the conditions of the aircraft operator confirmed in your charter agreement, which typically vary with how close to departure the change is made. Our mission team handles requests for changes and cancellations on your behalf and will always seek the best available outcome for you.

Travel Documents and Conduct On Board

Passengers are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas, health documents and any other formalities required for their route. On board, the authority of the flight crew governs the safety of the flight, and passengers must comply with their instructions at all times.

Liability

As a broker and coordinator, our responsibility is limited to the diligent performance of our coordination services. Liability for the operation of the flight, including carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo, rests with the licensed carrier operating the aircraft, as set out in its conditions of carriage and applicable aviation law. Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so is not permitted by law.

Acceptance of These Terms

By using this website or submitting a charter, mission or medical request, you agree to these terms. If you book on behalf of a company, government body or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the organisation accepts these terms.

Pricing, Taxes and Additional Charges

Quoted prices include the items listed on the quotation. Some costs can only be confirmed closer to departure or after the flight and may be invoiced separately:

  • Airport, navigation, landing and parking fees
  • De-icing, extra catering or special requests
  • Crew overnight costs from schedule changes
  • Fuel surcharges and applicable taxes or VAT

Delays and Events Beyond Control

Flights may be delayed, rerouted or cancelled for reasons of safety, weather, air-traffic control, airport closures, government action, civil unrest or technical issues. The decision to operate rests with the operator and pilot-in-command. In such cases we will work to arrange a replacement aircraft or alternative solution, but neither we nor the operator are liable for events beyond reasonable control.

Baggage, Prohibited Items and Cargo

Baggage allowances depend on the aircraft and are confirmed with your quotation. Dangerous goods, weapons, illegal substances and undeclared valuables are prohibited unless expressly approved by the operator and the relevant authorities. Passengers must declare all cargo and medical equipment in advance.

Medical and Government Missions

For medical flights, all clinical decisions, including fitness to fly and in-flight care, are made by the licensed medical-flight provider, not by Africa Jet Link. For government and diplomatic missions, we act as an independent coordinator and do not represent or carry the endorsement of any government.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

The content, design and branding of this website belong to Africa Jet Link. Route times, aircraft details and figures shown are indicative only and do not form an offer. You may not copy, misuse or attempt to disrupt this website.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your charter agreement. We encourage you to contact us first so that any concern can be resolved quickly and amicably; unresolved disputes will be referred to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to missions@africajetlink.com or to any of our offices in Nairobi, London or Athens.

Definitions

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Africa Jet Link” mean the charter broker; “you” or “client” means the person or organisation requesting services; “operator” or “carrier” means the licensed company that operates the aircraft; and “mission” means the flight or flights we coordinate for you.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are set out in each charter agreement. As a general guide:

  • Full payment is usually required before departure
  • Bank transfer in USD, EUR, GBP or agreed local currency
  • Bank charges and currency costs are borne by the payer
  • Official invoices issued for every mission

Cancellation Guide

The exact charges are those in your charter agreement, but cancellation fees typically increase as departure approaches, for example, a deposit may be retained for early cancellations, rising to the full charter price for cancellations within 24 hours of departure or no-shows.

Passenger Conduct

The operator and crew may refuse carriage to anyone who is intoxicated, behaves in a threatening or disruptive way, refuses security screening or endangers the flight. Any resulting costs or damage may be charged to the client.

Pets and Special Requirements

Pets, firearms, special medical equipment and oversized items must be requested in advance and are subject to the operator’s approval and the import rules of each country on the route.

Complaints

If something has not met your expectations, please tell us within 30 days of the flight. We will investigate with the operator and respond in writing as quickly as possible.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you sign your charter agreement applies to that booking.
